Have you ever gone out for an evening on the town with the love of your life and had an absolutely "one of a kind" lifetime experience? The kind of romantic night in New York City where absolutely everything went right and nothing could go wrong?

Every single part of that gorgeous evening just happened so smoothly that your love thought it was magic? The kind of fantasy evening when nothing could go wrong and not a stray hair was out of place.

The kind of warm light night where you walk out of your Manhattan apartment with your love in tow, the elevator door opens before you press the button, the concierge downstairs has the taxi door open, and "wonders of wonders" the taxi driver immediately knows exactly the right route to get past the traffic.

It seems like nothing can go wrong and nothing does. The show that night is exquisite, your reservations are accepted immediately at the fine restaurant, the dinner is perfect - shall I go on?

And right down to that special magical moment when you both come out of the restaurant look up and see a full moon giving everything an other worldly type majestic glow, you are sure that Murphy, the coincidence spoiler, must be somewhere near just hating himself.

I would like to tell you that this is all within the domain of an impeccable event planner but the truth is that some of those 10 near perfect things that nighthad to be coincidental, right? Or were they?

It is possible to have a perfect evening like this, because we have seen it on TV at least once right? (chuckle)

Event planning is how these things are done, especially in a bustling metropolis like Manhattan or Paris. Looking at the list of 10 "things that just happened to fall into place" that evening, you would have found that 3 or 4 of them might have been intermediate events that required 4-5 smaller details to be in place in order to work super smoothly.

So lets see how this might work, if you hire a well known taxi firm to meet you at precisely 7pm in front of your condo or hotel and be there 3 minutes ahead of time, then it should happen. If you back that up, by having the concierge or security ensure that it is happening, then it really will. If, in advance, you tipped the security guard to open the elevator on the 14th floor at exactly 6:57 and texted her 30 seconds in advance, then this too should happen.

If you pre-paid online and pre-tipped the door man that you know at the show to let you walk straight past the other waiting patrons with your better half on your arm, it should happen.

If your reservations were really made in advance, confirmed and you had let security and the most excellent maitre'd know that you were really confirming at 9:45 then walking past the other patrons for the second time that night might happen once again. Using a text message to get the split second timing wouldn't hurt either.

Ok, I can hear you all chuckling and questioning, "So what about that full silver moon, event?" I would answer, take your love out when you know there will be a full moon, duh?
